The temple of the frog leg in the heart of the Halles

Le temple de la grenouille
Within Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse, Baba la Grenouille has established itself as an essential address for lovers of a great Lyonnais classic: the frog leg with persillade. Long settled beneath the vaults of the gastronomic market on the cours Lafayette, the house has made this freshwater specialty its signature and its emblem.
Here, the frog is enjoyed pan-seared to order, golden in butter and lifted by a generous persillade, traditionally served with a homemade gratin dauphinois. On weekends, the team cooks several dozen kilos, under the eyes of regulars and the curious alike, who come to discover this emblematic dish at the counter or on the terrace.
Led by Thomas Védrine, the house cultivates a convivial and warm atmosphere, true to the spirit of the Halles. Beyond the frog, the menu also gives pride of place to salads, tartares, paella and couscous, for a generous and straightforward cuisine to savour on the spot or to take away.

Une cuisine généreuse et sans détour, sur place ou à emporter

Conduite par Thomas Védrine, la maison cultive une ambiance conviviale fidèle à l'esprit des Halles, autour d'un grand classique lyonnais.
