Alsace and Lyon united in the great charcuterie tradition
House founded in 1945

La maison
Founded in 1945 by Franz Gast, an Alsatian charcutier eager to introduce the people of Lyon to sauerkraut, Maison Gast has masterfully wed two great gourmet cultures: Alsatian generosity and the craft of Lyonnais charcuterie. Nearly eighty years on, it remains a benchmark address for lovers of traditional fare.
In 1990, Gérard Lobietti took over the house alongside his wife and upheld the founders' high standards. Today, Madame Lobietti and her children Nathalie and Stéphane keep this family heritage alive each day, faithful to in-house production and a rigorous selection of raw ingredients.
At Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse, the Gast stall unfurls a counter where sabodet, andouillettes, bone-in ham, saucissons, quenelles and truffle specialities sit side by side. The house also offers a wide range of prepared dishes - sauerkraut, couscous, cassoulet - along with a catering service cherished by the people of Lyon.
Welcoming with a smile and championing good taste: such is the signature of a house that, for three generations, has blended charcuterie tradition, artisanal quality and the art of hospitality.
