Poissonnerie Durand
Founded in 1868, Poissonnerie Durand is regarded as the oldest fishmonger still in operation in France. Passed down through four generations, the Joanny Durand house has made passion and exacting standards its signature, becoming a benchmark for the great restaurateurs of Lyon.
Established for more than fifty years at Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse, at 102 cours Lafayette, it offers a daily arrival of fresh fish, most of it line-caught off the coasts of France: pole-and-line and small-boat fishing, lavish displays of shellfish, crustaceans and seafood, all the way to tanks of live crustaceans.
The house champions sustainable fishing that respects the seasons, working hand in hand with responsible fishermen. It carries on an artisanal craft of preparation, from precise filleting to expert advice, to offer exceptional seafood whose freshness and traceability are beyond question.
