The art of Lyonnais chocolate, from bean to bar
House founded in 1991

Depuis 1991
Born in 1991 from the passion of Gaëlle and Richard Sève, Maison Sève belongs to a long Lyonnais tradition of fine indulgence. The couple took over a pâtisserie-chocolaterie in Champagne-au-Mont-d'Or that had been open since 1905, laying the first stone of a family adventure now counted among the finest chocolate houses in France.
A member of the prestigious Relais Desserts association and regularly named among the country's best chocolatiers, Richard Sève upholds a rare standard of excellence. He was one of the first French artisans to master the bean-to-bar craft: hand-selecting cocoa beans from committed growers, then transforming them in his own workshop to compose chocolates with complex aromatic profiles, never compromising.
In 2017, the house unveiled the MUSCO in Limonest, a one-of-a-kind museum-manufactory bringing together a production workshop, a museum trail, a boutique and pastry classes. A place that embodies its philosophy: making craftsmanship visible and sharing the story of cocoa in a vivid, living way.
At Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse, the Sève stall carries this heritage into the heart of the Lyonnais gastronomic temple. Bars, chocolate bonbons, macarons and pastries all speak of the precision and generosity of a house that places taste and the raw ingredient above all else.

Du grain de cacao à la tablette

Richard Sève fut l'un des premiers artisans français à maîtriser le bean-to-bar, du choix de la fève à la tablette.
